The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between the Prosecutors General of Russia and Vietnam.
Welcoming his foreign colleague, Igor Krasnov stressed that after his personal meeting with Le Ming Tri in Hanoi in October last year, interaction between the prosecutor's offices of Russia and Vietnam had reached a new level of development in a short period of time.
During the conversation, the heads of the prosecutorial agencies of Russia and Vietnam noted the successful implementation of the new Cooperation Program, under which a delegation of Vietnamese prosecutors recently visited Moscow, where they took part in the first event on cybercrime and the digitalization of the prosecution authorities.
The parties noted that the implementation of the updated agreement between the two agencies signed today will strengthen cooperation in combating serious crimes, transnational organized crime, and will contribute to the timely and efficient execution of requests for legal assistance.
Also, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation pointed to the increase of cooperation in the scientific and educational field, in the development of which the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation by the rectors of the Prosecutor's Offices universities is also planned today. The document will open up new opportunities for mutually beneficial exchange of experience and best practices.
At the end of the event, Igor Krasnov confirmed his readiness to use the educational and scientific potential to educate students and improve the skills of Vietnamese prosecutors both in Russia and during visiting lectures. The parties noted the fraternal nature of relations between the peoples of Russia and Vietnam.
