On the 30th of May 2008, upon request submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Republic of France extradited Russian citizen Sergey Rybakov to Russia.
The investigative authorities charged S.Rybakov with stealing a car VAZ-21099 from a garage along with another person, while threatening with a knife the owner of the car, A.S. Viktorov. Having locked up the legal car owner and his wife in the garage, he fled the crime scene driving the stolen vehicle.
As the result of the robbery, damage was inflicted on the Viktorovs in the amount of about 100 thousand rubles.
The criminal case against Sergey Rybakov defined by Article 162, part 3 (robbery, i.e. assault with the purpose of stealing other person’s property committed under threat of violence dangerous to life and health, by a group of persons, under a preliminary conspiracy, with the use of an object used as weapon and an illegal entry into premises) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is under investigation by the Investigative Team at the Division of Internal Affairs at the village of Ozerny, Tver Region.
In November 2006, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation submitted a request for his extradition to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of France. The French authorities decided to extradite the fugitive in June 2007.
On the 30th of May 2008, Sergey Rybakov was brought to Moscow.

Extradition of Sergey Rybakov, Charged with Robbery, from France to Russia
