On March 30th, 2012 at the request of the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany extradited to Russia a citizen of the Russian Federation Svetlana Medinger. She is accused of committing a crime, foreseen by points "a, b, v" in part 2 of article 240 (involving in trading prostitution and drawing into trading prostitution by force, with a threat of application of violence, with movement across the State border of the Russian Federation, by group of persons on preliminary agreement) of the criminal code of the Russian Federation.
Criminal case is under execution of the Investigatory Unit on investigation of organized criminal activities of Main Investigatory Department of Main Board of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia for Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region.
It is determined by the investigation bodies that in 2003 Svetlana Medinger with her fellow Andrey Pastorov created a criminal group that involved girls in trading prostitution. This group was distinguished for high level of its organization. For the purpose of its functioning, premises for prostitution were specially selected in Germany in advance, use of cellular communication and systems of money transfers were well established. Within the period from November 2003 to September 2004 Medinger and other members of the criminal group drew into prostitution 4 Russian citizens. Women were moved across the border by use of persuasions and false promises, by intimidation and blackmail, by threatening with physical violence upon the victims and members of their families, including under age children residing on the territory of the Russian Federation in case of disobedience. Moreover, within the period from November 2004 to November 2005 Medinger drew into prostitution one more Russian woman - legalized documents for her travel to Germany, put the victim in financial dependence from herself, and applied physical violence upon the victim.
Since Medinger disappeared from the law-and-order bodies, in September 2006 she was declared in the Federal search, and in August 2010 she was placed in the international wanted list.
In November 2011 she was arrested on the territory of Germany, and in December 2011 the General Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation forwarded the request for her extradition to the Federal Ministry of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany, which was satisfied in March 2012.
Accompanied by employees of the Russian FSIN (Federal Service of Execution of Punishment) and the Russian Bureau of Interpol, Svetlana Medinger was extradited to Russia.
Accomplice of the crime Andrey Pastorov, in July 2008 by Dzerzhinsky district court of the city of Saint-Petersburg was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment in a correctional colony of common regime.

About extradition to Russia from Germany of a citizen of the Russian Federation Svetlana Medinger, blamed for involvement in trading prostitution
