Today, on April 30, 2014, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation the competent authorities of the French Republic are extraditing Russian citizen Aleksandr Kaminsky.
Investigative agencies accuse him of committing the crime, referred to in article 132, paragraph 4 (b) (violent sexual actions, committed against a person who obviously has not attained 14 years of age, through the abuse of a person’s state of helplessness) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The Investigation Department for Central Administrative Okrug of Omsk of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is competent for the criminal case against Kaminsky.
The investigation found that on March 08, 2013 Mr. Kaminsky, who was in one of the flats in Omsk, being intoxicated by alcohol and through the abuse of state of helplessness of the seven-year-old victim, committed violent sexual actions against her.
As Mr. Kaminsky had fled from law enforcement agencies, in April 2012 he was put on a federal wanted list, and in August 2012 a decree on putting him on an international wanted list was issued.
In March 2013 as the result of search operations Kaminsky was detained within the territory of the French Republic.
At the time, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for extradition of the stated person to Russia for his prosecution to the Ministry of Justice of the French Republic; this request was satisfied in April 2014.
It should be noted that this decision on satisfaction of a Russian request is the first one for the last three years.
Today Aleksandr Kaminsky escorted by officials of Federal Penitentiary Service and those of Interpol Bureau of Russian will be extradited to Russia.

On extradition of Russian citizen Aleksandr Kaminsky to Russia from France
